Scott Purcell, President, Professional Credit

Scott Purcell brings a passion for optimizing organizational efficiency and profitability to his role as President. Responsible for direct oversight of operations for all Hawes Group companies, he drove the implementation of LEAN operating methods, established both a Behavioral Science and Decision Science department, and spearheaded ISO/IEC 27002 Information Security Management System certification and implementation.

Prior to joining Hawes, Scott had his own consulting firm, and lived life both as a CPA (with Moss Adams LLP, the 10th largest CPA firm in the U.S), and as CFO of a small, publicly-traded international technology company.

He is a certified facilitator of Measurable Management® and the Allenbaugh® Performance Coaching System, and applies the key concepts of LEAN, Six-Sigma, Deming, and Covey to bring measurable results to the team.

Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Oregon State University in 1990, where he was honored as the faculty’s Outstanding Accounting Student and later recognized as Outstanding Accounting Alumni in 2000.

He is an active proponent of Hawes Group’s mission of community service. Scott has served as both member and chair of the Eugene (OR) Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council; as Fundraising Campaign Chairman for the Lane County United Way; and as a volunteer financial analyst consulting on microfinance initiatives in Moldova, which sits between Ukraine and Romania and is the poorest country in Europe.

He is also a certified facilitator in the Becoming a Love and Logic Parent™ parenting program, which provides powerful motivational tools for parenting self-confident, motivated children.
